Dirty Sally’s Discotheque sprang to life on the Las Vegas Strip in the mid-1970s, occupying the same vibrant corner once home to Pussycat a’ Go-Go. Located at the intersection of the Strip and what was then Twain Avenue (today Sands Avenue), this venue brought a bold, nightlife twist to downtown’s entertainment scene. Following a brief stint as Sully’s and Pigalle, the club was reborn as Dirty Sally’s around 1974, embracing the disco craze while doubling as a backgammon club—a unique hybrid in Las Vegas’s evolving entertainment landscape. With signatures like loud music, vibrant dancing, and retro flair, Dirty Sally’s stood out amid the glitz of casinos and race books lining the stretch.
